Trampolining will exercise and strengthen every muscle, organ, and cell in your body as well as developing balance, fitness strength & core stability.
Trampolining is a Cellular Exercise
Your body has about 60 trillion cells. The forces involved in trampolining squeeze out toxins. Then, during the brief weightless period when the body is suspended in the air, the lower pressure in the cell promotes the movement of nutrients into the cells. Thus the flow of materials to and from cells is improved. It is like getting every cell in your body to exercise.
The body’s lymphatic system is a network of vessels that transports nutrients and drains toxin products from tissues. It does not contain its own pumping mechanism and relies on external pressure including breathing and muscular contraction to propel its contents through a system of one-way lymphatic valves. Trampolining helps the lymphatic system eliminate toxins by increasing the gravitational pull as you bounce.
Trampolining puts bones under small amounts of stress sufficient to help them build to cope with that stress. This in turn reduces the risk of factures and osteoporosis.
Trampolining Improves motor skills by forcing the brain to function bilaterally. In response to the forces of gravity acting on the body in all directions when you are in the air, both sides of the body and brain become engaged in maintaining balance and coordination. This results in bilateral motor skills development, unlike other sports where there is constant gravity and one side of the body may be favored more than the other.
Trampolining is the best way to develop total co-ordination. Everyone will benefit more from this than all the bicycles and tricycles manufactured. Studies of many children have shown the tremendous value trampolining. A school trampoline program brought about almost unbelievable changes in co-ordination and development. Attentiveness, desk posture, small muscle control, as well as walking and running postures were but a few of the improvements noted. A child with poor coordination benefits dramatically, but every child will gain co-ordination that carries over to every physical activity.
To trampoline well a trampolinist needs to bounce tune with the trampoline to achieve optimum height for least effort. Practising this will help develop a sense of rhythm and timing.
Although trampolining is an impact sport the period of acceleration and deceleration is much longer than with activities such as jogging where the surface used has no give at all.
